The world as we know it now is under the threat of not surviving for future generations. The current system and linear economic model clearly failed and they are leaving us with great challenge to overcome. Sustainability in every field is not an option anymore, it is now a necessity. And sustainability starts from the individual. Mind-set shift starts from the individual. The big corporations that are poisoning the world are made of individuals. Still individuals are the buyer of their products and services, actually this is us. Every solution starts with the awareness of the problem itself and with the awareness of what can be each own contribution. Sustainability awareness is growing, but not fast enough.

We indeed believe that festivals and events are fertile ground for education, mind-set shifting and behavioural change. In addition they are a strategic target. Only in the Netherlands, it has been calculated that every year more than 1500 festivals take place and more than 300 in the Amsterdam’s area. This without counting events. Moreover, festivals and events visitors represent a extremely diverse and promising audience to promote sustainability awareness. Indeed, festivals and events present the unique characteristics of gathering people of any kind and any nationality, with different background and jobs but united by a common interest being it music, food, art or design.
